Single Room Renovations in Melbourne
We take on kitchens, bathrooms and laundries as standalone projects, and we build them to the same standard as our whole-home work - same trades, same detailing, same site management.
That standard has a floor. Our bathrooms start at $25,000 and kitchens at $30,000 and they involve full removal back to frame, services replacement, waterproofing certified to AS 3740, and custom joinery. If you're after a cosmetic update - new benchtops, resurfaced cabinetry, a fixture swap - we're not the right builder, and we'd rather say so now than waste your time.
What we do
Timeframes
Bathroom or ensuite
4–8 weeks
Kitchen
6–12 weeks
Laundry
3–6 weeks
Material lead times are the main variable - stone, custom joinery and imported fixtures can add weeks. We order early and tell you the critical path at the start.
When a single room isn't the answer
Worth saying plainly: if you're planning to renovate the kitchen this year, the bathroom next year and extend the year after, you'll spend meaningfully more than doing it as one project - in duplicated trade mobilisation, duplicated services work, and living through three disruptions instead of one. It's also harder to get a coherent result.
If that's your trajectory, it's worth costing Whole-Home Renovations, or Open-Plan Living & Rear Extensions if the problem is really that the back of the house is closed off. We'll give you both numbers at the consultation.
Common
Questions
Do you do cosmetic updates or partial renovations?
No. We work back to frame, because that's where the standard we're comfortable putting our name to starts. For smaller updates you want a different kind of trade.
Can I stay in the house?
For a single room, generally yes - though a sole-bathroom renovation means arranging alternatives for four to eight weeks.
Do you supply fixtures and joinery, or do I?
Either. Most clients have us supply, because it keeps responsibility for lead times and defects in one place. If you want to supply particular pieces yourself, that's fine - we'll note them as client-supplied in the quote.
Is the work warranted?
Yes - registered building practitioner with full public liability and domestic building insurance. Our work carries a structural warranty.
